1-day experience

compass /ˈkʌmpəs/, noun, is an instrument containing a magnetized pointer which shows the direction of magnetic north and bearings from it. We use it in a metaphorical sense and it describes the direction of your life, your why, your true north. When you are lost or stuck in life or career, it's often because you don't know where you are headed. Or you used to know the direction but somehow that past direction doesn't make sense any more and you are lost. Or something unexpected happened and everything has changed and you are no longer who you were before. Wherever you are, being clear about what's important to you, what brings meaning, your Compass, will help you get back on track. This is what this workshop is about.

After much exploration, research and testing, we are excited to bring our first 1-day experience to you where we combine personal development and walking in nature. We are passionate about the impact of coaching can have on people and the multiple benefits of walking, so we decided to combine the 2 in a meaningful way that is unique. Well, we think it is!   • We have tried and tested everything we share with you. Trust us on this: through our own growth journey, we have been there and know what it feels like when you are lost, stuck and need help to change stuff. We are there to help you find or re-align with your life-compass.

  • Our venues are hand-picked to support your learning, your walks and your well-being. Even the food has been carefully chosen to best aid your health.

  • We will donate 50% of our profits to our favourite causes, so not only you benefit from the program but nature will too.

What is the pre-work?

  • Reflection and pre-read: there will be some pre-work to be completed prior to arrival that requires you to read, write and reflect about your life & values to date. (~2 hrs)

  • Have the right gear: we will be walking on footpaths, which are often muddy, so make sure you have the right footwear and waterproofs. 

What does the day look like?

Group size & facilitators:

  • We believe in small group learning, so our workshops will have min. 4 and max 6 participants to ensure personal attention and focus.

  • Therefore there will be 2-3 professional coaches with us depending on the size of the group. Our coaches are trusted partners and have been hand-picked for their talent in coaching individuals around values & purpose in life.

  • And 1 guide for the walk, so we don't get lost and walk safely.

 

A rough agenda (subject to change based on the level of the group):

9.00 - 9.30 - Arrival, coffee, tea, snacks

9.30 - 10.00 - Welcome

  • Intro and get to know each other

  • Group agreements

  • Logistics

10.00 - 12.00 - Explore your Compass (learn and reflect)

  • Values levels, what are they and how they work

  • Neurological levels, how your brain works and creates meaning

  • Prioritising your values

  • Mindful communication and language techniques

  • Walking prep - mindful walking, breathing, listening to intuition and exploring mindset

12.00 - 13.00 - Lunch & route briefing

  • Lunch is buffet style with vegan and gluten free choices. Other requests are also catered for.

  • Route briefing, rules and safety

  • Gear check

13.00 - 16.00 - Refine your Compass (3 hrs walk and coach)

  • 1 hr 1:1 coaching session with a coach

  • 2 hrs walk and group conversations

16.00 - 17.00 - Cake, debrief and close

  • A well-deserved cake and coffee / tea on arrival

  • Group debrief, learnings, takeaways

  • Follow-up activities &  suggestions

  • Feedback

How do I get there?

All our venues are easily accessible by train or car from London. Please see details in the events.

 

Want to stay overnight?

You are welcome to organise your stay around the venues yourself.

How much? 

As this is our first workshop we are offering our participants a lower rate. Your investment is £350 + VAT (instead of £420 + VAT) per person, which includes the pre-work, the morning workshop, 1 hr personal coach, 3 hrs guided walk, coffee/tea, snack, cake and a nutritious lunch. Not included: your overnight room if you want to stay, any additional gear you might need to buy.
